2. Browsing the website

Our hosting service processes technical connection data needed to deliver and secure the website, including IP address, request time, requested resource and browser information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking on this website. Fonts and illustrations are served from this website. Pointer and scroll information is used only on your device to animate the illustrations; it is not sent to us.

3. Registering interest and contacting us

The contact form prepares an email in your own email application. It does not submit your details to our web server or save them in website storage. We receive the information only when you send the email. Your email service may retain drafts and sent messages under its own settings.

We process the name, email, company, country, participation category, contact permission, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, understand your compute or hosting requirements and assess a potential business relationship.

For business contacts, this processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling relevant inquiries and developing business relationships, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where you personally request steps toward a contract, the basis is Article 6(1)(b). Providing information is voluntary. Without contact details and sufficient information about your request, we may be unable to respond.

Registering interest is not consent to unrelated marketing. We send launch notifications only if you specifically request them, on the basis of consent under Article 6(1)(a). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to an email or writing to contact@hegelian.com. This does not affect processing before withdrawal.

4. Recruitment

If you send an application, we use your contact details, CV and supporting information to assess and respond to it, and to take recruitment steps at your request under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Please include only information relevant to the role. We will inform you separately before retaining your application for future opportunities.

5. Who receives the information

Within Hegelian, access is limited to the founders who need the information for these purposes. Hosting, email and technical service providers process data as needed to supply their services. We may also disclose information to competent authorities where legally required, or to professional advisers where necessary to handle a legal matter. We do not sell personal data.

The proposed Hong Kong entity does not independently collect website registrations. Any future change to the controller or processing purposes will be communicated through an updated notice.

6. International processing

The website is hosted in Europe. Hosting support, email delivery and backup operations may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. European hosting alone does not ensure that all related processing stays in Europe.

For GoDaddy services, international processing is addressed in its Data Processing Addendum, which provides applicable transfer mechanisms, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses where required. You can request information about the safeguards relevant to your data from contact@hegelian.com.

7. Retention

We retain launch-interest and prospect correspondence for no more than five years from receipt, and delete it earlier when it is no longer necessary. We review whether it remains relevant; an unanswered follow-up does not restart the period. Withdrawal of consent or a valid objection ends the relevant promotional use sooner.

Applications are retained for the assessment and conclusion of the relevant recruitment process. Technical logs are retained as needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service; relevant records may be retained longer to investigate a specific incident. Backup copies follow the applicable provider’s deletion cycle. Where a legal obligation or dispute requires specific records, they are retained only for that purpose and the necessary period.

8. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time and withdraw consent without affecting its earlier lawful use.

Send requests to contact@hegelian.com. We normally respond within one month. If a request is complex or numerous requests require an extension, we will explain this within the first month. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity when necessary.

You may complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the competent supervisory authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

9. Automated decisions and external services

We do not use your inquiry or application for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. LinkedIn links and email links open external services, whose own privacy policies apply. This notice will be updated when relevant processing arrangements change.
